He pled guilty to theft from the mail and shoplifting, as well as four counts of breaching probation and release orders

A witness spotted him opening mail that didn't belong to him in the foyer of a building, assistant Crown attorney Adrianna Mucciarelli said.Gionet left the scene on a bicycle, but was identified by the video.About a month earlier, on March 15, he was caught concealing chocolate bars at the Food Basics store on Pine Street.
Mucciarelli and duty counsel Darren Berlinguette jointly recommended that he receive a suspended sentence, and be placed on probation for 12 months.He works in construction, but the father of a teenager hasn't been employed in two years.But he now has a clear head, and a plan to get home again, the court heard.
