A candidate for the Northeastern School Board in York County is calling a video released by another candidate a 'smear tactic.'The video shows Republican candidate Michael Eriksen boarding a district school bus as children on the bus are screaming. It happened last March, and Eriksen was cited by police for boarding the bus without permission. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and paid a $308 fine.
He explained his actions in an email to News 8. He says he was there to remove his son, who had called him in a panic. Northeastern School Board Vice President Tyler Kramlick, a Democrat, released the video, which you can watch below.Kramlick says he did so because school board members are supposed to be role models and held to a higher standard. Both men are among four candidates on the ballot for school board in next week's election.
