YooAhIn's Agency Briefly Addresses Actor's Recent Investigation For Propofol Use
’s agency has shared a brief statement with regards to the actor undergoing investigation for propofol use.
On February 8, it was reported on TV Chosun’s “News9” that a top Korean actor had undergone police investigation over alleged use of propofol. Propofol is a sleep inducer and anesthetic and it is illegal in South Korea to use it outside of surgical procedures. It was additionally reported that a few days prior, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency called in Yoo Ah In to be investigated for alleged violation of the Narcotics Control Act. The actor has reportedly been banned from leaving the country while his body hair has been requested for evaluation by the National Institute of Scientific Investigation in order to confirm his propofol usage.
In response to this report, Yoo Ah In’s agency United Artists Agency released the following official statement confirming that the actor had recently been investigated:He is actively cooperating in all investigations regarding this and we plan to proactively address the aspects that are a problem.
