The New York Yankees made a few roster moves on Tuesday, freeing up some slots on the active roster for Everson Pereira and Oswald Peraza.

Pereira and Peraza will now have an opportunity to play virtually every game the rest of the way, developing at the big-league level while showing why they deserve a starting spot next spring. Allen could stick around and McKinney can be activated from the IL when calendars flip to September, but they aren’t part of the organization’s long-term plans.
Carlos Rodón was also reinstated from the injured list on Tuesday. He’ll start on Tuesday night against the Nationals, looking to finish the season strong after missing a few turns through the rotation with a hamstring strain.
