The Arlington Renegades suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday as the defense and special teams could not make up for an ineffective offense that...

Plitt then continued to lead the offense following the second fumble with a 13 yard touchdown pass to tight end Nate Becker. After a successful 2-point conversion to WR Tyler Vaughns, Arlington was able to take a 14-11 lead. Renegades’ DB Josh Hawkins forced another fumble in the quarter, but kicker Taylor Russolino came up short on the ensuing 55 yard field goal.

Unfortunately for the Renegades, the second quarter was the only time that they would hold the lead. Silver responded with 2:55 left in the third on a touchdown to receiver Cedric Byrd. Plitt also put the Renegades in a difficult position with a fumble late in the third, but the defense prevented any further damage.

The Roughnecks’ defense forced another turnover from Plitt in the fourth, this time with safety Sean Davis grabbing a tipped ball out of the air. It eventually led to another Roughnecks touchdown that was the dagger, as running back Matt Borghi rushed it in from four yards out.
