Years-old video shows firefighters holding an exercise in Sichuan, China, and has nothing to do with Israel.

On February 8, Qawemisrael, an X user identifying as a "media & news company," posted a video showing a massive explosion at a facility, and commented:Screen Capture from a video posted to X on February 8, 2024, which X users have falsely claimed shows a recent Hezbollah missile strike on an Israeli base.
Screen capture from an Arab News' Facebook post on February 9, 2017, which incorrectly speculates the video could show a fire at a French nuclear facility. It actually shows firefighters staging an exercise in Sichuan, China in 2015. That report said not a single fact-checking organization surveyed considers X “to take disinformation seriously.”
X has since tagged some, but not all of the videos misattributing the Sichuan firefighting exercise to Hezbollah, with a message and hyperlink reading: “Stay informed. This media is presented out of context. Find out more.”
