Slab and Roll Thai Rolled Ice Cream opens on Foster Drive
Slab and Roll Thai Rolled Ice Cream, a locally owned and operated business, opened in late July on Foster Drive.
Thai ice cream is made from a liquid base poured onto a frozen surface. Once it is frozen, items such as strawberries are added, chopped up and mixed in and then smoothed out into a rectangular shape. “We’re looking into adding a mango flavour and keep carrying on and hopefully in the end we’ll have a variety of different flavours. Hopefully people will continue to keep coming because it’s very good,” Dovell said.
“I find it has a smooth, mouthwatering taste. It’s so refreshing. It’s very sweet without being super sugar sweet. It’s gluten free,” Dovell said.
