Cold air fills in behind this system to bring colder-than-normal temperatures to start the Easter weekend
Another storm is aiming for the Sault region this week, but this one's a bit different. This system should move north of the area, so we will get into the warm sector and see heavy rain and warm temperatures. Sadly, the heat doesn't last long as cold air fills in behind this system to bring colder-than-normal temperatures to start the Easter Weekend.
On Monday, we will see a mix of sun and cloud, with most of the cloud cover early this afternoon as daytime highs climb to near +5°C. A westerly breeze will make it feel several degrees cooler. Clouds gradually build back into the region on Tuesday, with temperatures reaching +3°C. Gusty east winds arrive in the evening with the risk of freezing drizzle overnight.
The storm system hits the Sault region on Wednesday, but this one arrives first with heavy rain and then with warmer air. Daytime highs will climb close to the +10°C. Melting snow combined with heavy rain could mean isolated flooding across the region. Cold air rushes back into the region on Thursday as temperatures fall to near the freezing mark with a risk of late-day flurries. Good Friday should be sunny, but a cool northwest wind will keep temperatures within a degree or two of freezing again.
