More than 75,000 Kaiser Permanente workers in California, Oregon, Washington state, Colorado, Virginia and Washington, D.C. plan to strike Wednesday through the end of the week.

The clock is running out for a contract agreement for tens of thousands of health care workers in five states."Kaiser refuses to come to the table to bargain with us," said Micheal Ramey, an ultrasound technician.
In a statement, Kaiser Permanente said,"a strike is not inevitable, and it is certainly not justified." Non-emergency appointments may be rescheduled and some Kaiser Pharmacies in their medical offices may close.
