OAKLAND — A West Oakland warehouse worker was wounded Thursday morning in a shootout with burglars trying to break into the building, authorities said Friday.None of the burglars were apparently wounded; they fled before police arrived, leaving their vehicle behind, authorities said.
Police said at least four suspects tried to break into the business by forcing a metal roll door open. It was not immediately clear what was stored inside the warehouse. Police believe two of the burglars and possibly more shot at the man. At least 20 shell casings were found in the area.
