This work is part of the first contract of East Shore Section 3 of the I-83 Capital Beltway Project.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today that work is set to begin on a major highway reconstruction project on Interstate 83 in the City of Harrisburg and the surrounding area in Dauphin County.
The following week, there will be night work to install a barrier along the northbound shoulder. After the barrier is installed, the contractor will begin utility work and clearing in the area of Cameron Street and then work northward on I-83, working behind the barrier, a press release said.
