Woman walking dog killed in Poway crash [Breaking]
A pickup struck and killed a 69-year-old woman who was walking her dog in a Poway crosswalk Saturday morning, a sheriff’s official said.The 35-year-old driver, in a Ford Ranger, had stopped at the intersection and was turning left when he struck the pedestrian, officials said. He told investigators he didn’t see the woman.The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and later died, officials said. Drugs and alcohol were not suspected factors in the collision.
Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call sheriff’s traffic investigator Tracy Wallace at 513-2800.
