A New Jersey Uber driver gave himself a $100 tip and a five-star review, without the consent of his riders.
A New Jersey woman arrived home from vacation to discover that her Uber driver helped himself a $100 tip and a five-star review.
“He seemed nice, very talkative, and told us he was from Vietnam. He began to ask too many personal questions though, such as the cost of my vacation and what type of employment we had,” Wilson-Booker posted on Facebook. Instead of paying $54 for the ride, Wilson-Booker and her husband were charged $154.71, according to Fox 29 Philadelphia.
“I was told that the tips come to the driver immediately and they could not refund that to my credit card, so they credited my Uber account $100. I’m still mad about this cause I’m still responsible for that bill on my credit card, and I don’t use Uber much to use that credit,” Wilson-Booker wrote.
