A woman faces charges in Akron after shooting at a man, according to investigators.

Akron Police Sgt. Michael Murphy say the 33-year-old woman had ‘no apparent reason’ to be at the home, located in the 2000 block of 18th St. SW, at the time of the shooting.

Sgt. Murphy says the suspect knocked on the door, prompting the victim’s son to call the man. Upon arriving home, police say the woman opened fire in the victim’s direction. The 33-year-old, identified as Brandie Parsons, fired at least three shots in the victim’s direction. Sgt. Murphy says three bullets struck the home.

Sgt. Murphy says officers arrested Parsons on charges of felonious assault, aggravated trespass, aggravated menacing, discharging a firearm and criminal damaging. Officers recovered the firearm and multiple shell casings from the home.
