A woman has been charged after deputies say she shot her husband following an argument in Fort Bend County.

The shooting was reported Thursday around 6:50 a.m. at a home located in the 6600 block of Plum Springs.

According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Adonia Martinez, 32, shot her husband as he was leaving the residence in their vehicle after the two had a fight. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Martinez in the driveway of the home and allegedly confessed to the shooting. Deputies said the husband was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.

Martinez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault family violence. She was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail. Her bond amount has not yet been released.
