Woman, 72, killed in head-on crash in Granite Hills area [Breaking]
A 72-year-old woman was killed late Friday afternoon after her car crashed head on into an SUV in the Granite Hills area, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The San Diego woman was headed east on Dehesa Road, east of Walsall Road, about 5:35 p.m. when her 2016 Nissan Sentra struck a westbound 2018 Volkswagen Atlas, said CHP Officer Matthew Baranowski. The woman suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she died, Baranowski said. The woman’s name was not released.The driver of the Volkswagen was a 16-year-old boy. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, Baranowski said.
