David Pecker testified before the grand jury on the alleged hush money payment by former President Donald Trump to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. The district attorney's office may have called Pecker to bolster Cohen's earlier testimony about the purpose of the paymentIt was the first time the panel was hearing testimony in the Trump probe since last Monday, when a witness favorable to the ex-president appeared before the grand jury. The jurors did not meet at all on Wednesday, one of the days when they ordinarily convene, and heard other matters on Thursday.

Trump's eyebrow-raising choice of venue in Waco for the Saturday rally came amid the 30th anniversary of a 51-day standoff and deadly siege between U.S. law enforcement and the Branch Davidians that resulted in the deaths of more than 80 members of the religious cult and four federal agents and has become a touchstone for far-right extremists and militia groups.

Another image he posted on social media showed Trump holding a bat next to a picture of Manhattan D.A. Bragg.
