Anna Corbett, the wife of a Dansville man wrongfully detained by the Taliban for nearly 19 months, will attend the State of the Union address on Thursday.
Ryan Corbett of Dansville and his wife, Anna, who moved to Afghanistan with their children in 2010. Ryan has been wrongfully detained by the Taliban for nearly 19 months.
So far, she's made nine trips to the nation's capital to meet with officials and deliver testimony to try to bring her husband, Ryan Corbett, home. The two got married in 2004 in Dansville and moved to Afghanistan with their children in 2010. Ryan worked for non-governmental organizations before starting his own consultancy business in 2017. The family, however, had to evacuate in 2021 as the Taliban took over.
