“I was trying to find a store to retail it locally, but I wasn’t having any luck finding a place with the space for it, but that also fit the same values as my brand,” she said.She began hunting down leases for her newest venture and soft-launched Chickadee Goods in Riverview, N.B., in August. “I’m trying to give smaller brands a platform in sales while opening the public’s eyes to what is available on this side of Canada, you don’t have to order everything off Amazon,” said Foster. Products include snacks, lightweight clothing, bamboo utilities such as cotton swabs and toothbrushes, barred shampoo and conditioner, double-wide hammocks and pet accessories, among other gift ideas.
