Hulu's adaptation needs to reach season 2.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Hulu's A Court of Thorns and Roses series is likely to draw plenty of viewers to the platform, but the show will need at least two seasons to succeed. Based on Sarah J. Maas' book series of the same name, A Court of Thorns and Roses will fill a major fantasy TV gap, delivering a story that's dripping with romance as much as magic.
Assuming A Court of Thorns and Roses avoids the fatal mistakes of other book adaptations, it should have a long and happy run on the platform. That's for the best, as the series will need at least two seasons to make an impression. Although season 1 will spark the interest of anyone who enjoys Maas' work or romantic fantasy in general, season 2 is where things will get truly interesting.
Hulu's A Court Of Thorns And Roses Will Likely Adapt 1 Book From The Series A Court of Thorns and Roses is the first book in a series, and the story changes drastically after it. With that in mind, Hulu's A Court of Thorns and Roses needs to get to season 2 before it can capture the heart of Maas' story. Given the length of A Court of Thorns and Roses, season 1 will probably adapt the first book alone.
Hulu Needs To Adapt A Court Of Mist And Fury To Succeed The second book of Maas' trilogy — A Court of Mist and Fury — is easily the most highly regarded, and the Hulu adaptation's success is dependent on getting to it. Although season 1 will cover Feyre's romance with Tamlin, the pair aren't the books' endgame couple. While A Court of Thorns and Roses introduces the character she actually winds up with, its sequel kicks off their romance in earnest.
