Have the GoldenGlobes2023 redeemed themselves?
Johansson, who, at the time had been nominated for five Golden Globes herself, urged others in the film industry to boycott the organisation unless it makes significant internal changes.
The actor recalled facing "sexist questions and remarks by certain HFPA members that bordered on sexual harassment". She released a statement, citing: “Unless there is necessary fundamental reform within the organization, I believe it is time that we take a step back from the HFPA and focus on the importance and strength of unity within our unions and the industry as a whole.”
As a result, the HFPA announced a series of reforms, including diversifying members and a ban on promotional “freebies”.The question is, have the Golden Globes redeemed themselves, and which Hollywood stars will continue to boycott the event, and who will turn up to 2023's ceremony held on 10th January?
Well, we know that Quentin Tarantino, Billy Porter, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ana de Armas will definitely be in attendance because they were announced as presenters on 3rd January.
