A new Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama billboard campaign - Who Matters Most to You? – is aimed at getting people to think about their loved ones, and how they would feel if violence took their lives. They would want someone to step up with information and should be willing to do the same for others. As violence continues to soar in Birmingham and throughout Jefferson County, Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama is appealing to residents to make it personal.
Ten billboards have gone up throughout Jefferson County and some beyond- from Birmingham to Bessemer to Calera – urging residents to, “make a call, make the difference.” “Certainly, your family, your friends, but really everyone should matter and that’s why the pictures show such a diversity,’’ Copus said.
