Trump and Kim dined on shrimp cocktail, grilled sirloin with pear kimchi, and chocolate lava cake
President Donald Trump sat down for a historic dinner Wednesday evening with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, as the two try to work toward a denuclearization deal at their second summit.
The leaders were joined by interpreters and select advisers for what the White House billed as a “social dinner" at the French colonial Metropole Hotel, a luxury establishment in Hanoi, Vietnam. CNN that as of midday Wednesday, chefs were struggling to settle on a menu to accommodate requests from both officials to keep the meal “super simple.”The dinner was quick, lasting less than two hours, to give both leaders time to prepare for a busy next day, but it still included four courses.
