White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday detailed expenses by USAID.

USAID staffers were barred from their offices Monday as DOGE conducted an efficiency review of the agency. Musk said during an X Spaces session Monday President Donald Trump "agreed" USAID should be shut down. “If you take a look at the waste and abuse that has run through USAID over the past several years, these are some of the insane priorities that that organization has been spending money on,” she said.
