The coveted triple IPA has dropped in the Bay Area.
Last year marked the first time the North Bay brewery released Pliny the Younger first to bars and restaurants, postponing its in-person release due to a COVID spike.
"The unintended postponement in 2022 turned out to be a happy accident and started a new tradition here at Russian River," wrote Russian River Brewing co-owner and president Natalie Cilurzo in an email to SFGATE.
This year, Russian River is focusing February distribution on San Francisco Beer Week, which is Feb. 10 to Feb. 19. So starting Friday, you can find the coveted triple IPA at many of your favorite bars around San Francisco. And for those willing to line up as early as 5 a.m. for the proper in-person Russian River release, it'll be March 24 to April 6 this year, at the brewery's Santa Rosa and Windsor locations. Until then, here's a non-comprehensive list of where you can find Pliny the Younger in the Bay Area during San Francisco Beer Week. For more details, check the1700 Mission St.
