At it’s peak on Monday, Milton had maximum sustained winds of 180 mph and a minimum central pressure of 897 mb, which put it on a list of some of the most intense hurricanes to ever develop in the Atlantic basin.While Milton has weakened slightly Tuesday down to a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 155 mph as of 1 p.m., it remains a very dangerous and powerful storm.
