A medical issue kept this 17-year-old Marine from graduating boot camp—so the hospital staff took action.
After completing an intense 13-week boot camp, 17-year-old Micah Wooten, who always dreamed of being a U.S. Marine, could not wait to be honored at his graduation.
Instead, Micah was suddenly rushed from the Naval Hospital on Parris Island, South Carolina, to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for surgery. The procedure wasn't life-threatening, but necessary, Micah's mom, Missy, told"GMA.""You look forward for three months to see your child," the mom said.
Micah attempted to sit up and look stiff, straightening his back and shoulders as much as he could from his hospital bed.
