JON JOHNSON The Dothan United Dragons will open their initial home season Saturday bringing smoke and fire – literally – with a big fireworks display as the new pro soccer team in the United Soccer League 2 takes on the Tennessee Soccer Club at Rip Hewes Stadium starting at 7 p.m.
“We said from day one we were going to have fireworks and we were pleasantly shocked that one of the leading fireworks display companies in the southeast is right here in Dothan," Donner said. “They do all the major bowl games, and NFL and ironically the official fireworks of the USL, which we didn’t know.
