UTSA alumni unearth time capsule buried 40 years ago, including E.T. button, basketball tickets and more.
In 1983, the Student Representative Assembly celebrated the 10th anniversary of UTSA’s first class's admission by burying a time capsule of university paraphernalia to be opened on the 50th anniversary.
While everything contained within the capsule is not yet known , previous coverage does give us some hints. According to an article from the San Antonio Light when the capsule was buried, the capsule includes an"E.T. button.""E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial," the classic film, was released the year prior.
