Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will unveil his first official Budget on Wednesday.
The only thing which will realistically cushion the impact of any cuts is additional money from the UK Treasury. One other thing to bear in mind is that an increase in defence spending will not create a Barnett consequential as that is classified as UK-wide expenditure.A major focus of Mr Hunt's Budget is expected to be on what's known as "economic inactivity".
