Within a week, gamers saw two icons of the era return to their side-scrolling roots.have brought a major dose of nostalgia and reminded players that 2-D gaming still has plenty of fun in the age of open-world adventures and virtual reality.It does a remarkable job of creating two protagonists, both of whom feel central and important to a long campaign.
Players can initially pick from four characters — Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy — each having their distinct abilities. That helps with replayability because the campaign isn’t long. It benefits players to explore the game’s 26 levels to see all the secrets and collectibles.“Superstars” is a title that players can finish easily over the weekend. But although you can wrap it up in afternoon, choosing a new character alters the experience enough that it’s worth another playthrough.
