Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Cyberpunk 2077's massive free Update 2.0 is coming to its base game alongside the new paid DLC, Phantom Liberty, this month, and there has been a bit of uncertainty about which advertised content and modifications are included with each. Cyberpunk 2077 has seen steady improvements ever since its 2020 launch, which was initially plagued with problems.
Anything that includes entirely new content will be a part of the paid Phantom Liberty DLC, whereas any improvements and changes to base game systems are primarily relegated to Update 2.0. The most notable exception to this is the additional content of new radio stations, including the new Growl FM, which is entirely crafted from fan-made music and will be included in the free update for everyone to enjoy.
A completely redesigned system for its skill trees and perks, as well as revamped Cyberware systems, are significant changes that are designed to help people better craft their character to match how they wish to play. The Cyberware system will allow for tech augments to be put into overdrive to become more powerful but can also have risks that will affect things such as V's health, although it will not be taken to the level where V could risk suffering from cyberpsychosis.
Vehicle missions have gotten a lot of attention since appearing in the trailers for Phantom Liberty and will be a fresh experience for DLC owners. Additionally, the new Relic skill tree will go beyond the base game's Skill tree by adding items such as Spatial Mapping, Launch Capacity Override, and Limiter Removal.
