The Buckeyes flipped a three-star defensive lineman early Friday morning. What does it mean?
with Kyle McCord, defense readying for pass-happy Western Kentucky: Buckeye Bits
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds, Mensah figures to play on the interior and will be the second interior player in this class. As for where that leaves Ohio State, having three commits on the defensive line puts them in comfortable position headed into the fall. While the Buckeyes wouldn’t turn away a five-star talent like Aydin Breland or four-star Ernest Willor Jr., this gives them some breathing room as they head down the stretch of the 2024 cycle. The Buckeyes rank 2nd in 247′s rankings, behind only Georgia, with an average player rating of 93.55 and a total class rating of 303.36.
