It seems our general attitude about the season no longer reflects the ramrod stoicism of yore.
But the other day I got a phone call from a doctor’s office, where I’d long been awaiting a consult. I was told they had cancellations a few days hence. The receptionist began to rhyme off options: early morning, mid-morning, after lunch. I couldn’t believe my luck.
I looked at the hourly, and concluded we might get five centimetres at best. But I was left scratching my head at the alarmist messaging. SNOW WARNING! DANGEROUS CONDITIONS! HAZARDOUS DRIVING!
