It was not an easy illness. After a temperature of 103 and “spiking chills,” he was hospitalized for more than a week and left so weak he could not stand. “I really felt like I’d been hit by a truck,” he toldon Saturday. “I have to tell you, I’ve never been as sick in my life. Ever. By far, this is the worst I’ve ever been with an illness.” Now home, “I just have to rest,” he told STAT. “The good news is I’m absolutely going in the right direction.
