People across Ontario wear a red shirt to show their support for Easter Seals which provides essential programs and services for young people with physical disabilities
Red Shirt Day, the day to demonstrate support for people living with disabilities, is happening on Wednesday, May 29.
Expect to see people from all walks of life joining to support Easter Seals by wearing a red shirt at work, at school or while spending time with friends and family out in the community, said the release. Chloe Fraser and Shamil Sohail are the 2024 Easter Seals provincial ambassadors. They are passionate about building a more inclusive world for kids with physical disabilities and the power of Red Shirt Day in mobilizing Canadians to take action toward increasing accessibility and inclusivity in their schools, workplaces, and communities. They shared their comments in the release.
The initiative seems to have created a movement since it was established six years ago in 2019 said Easter Seals. Red Shirts have been showing up among a growing number of individuals and organizations pleased to share the message and share photos on social media every year.
