There are protests against vaccine and mask mandates in just about every country that has them. Eagle eyed viewers of these protests will notice something odd for a protest not taking place on American soil. Mixed in with the myriad signs about bodily choice and the tyranny of helping your fellow man are a smattering of curious signs and flags. At a recent march in Australia, for example, among the crowd could be spotted more than a few Trump 2024 flags.

I love Canada. Polite citizens, moose, circular bacon...what’s not to like. Liberals have long held onto the notion of Canada as a great northern escape hatch should the American experiment go pear shaped as the republic crumble. In the event of a Handmaid’s Tale America’s progressives could load up their electric vehicles and make our way north where it’s still legal to wear shorts.
