Hollywood is mourning the death of veteran actor and comedian Jerry Stiller.
as George Costanza's father on"Seinfeld" and Leah Remini's father on"The King of Queens," Stiller also had a lengthy career that spanned the big screen, Broadway and the comedy scene with his wife of more than 60 years, Anne Meara.
"He was perhaps the kindest man I ever had the honor to work beside," Alexander tweeted."He made me laugh when I was a child and every day I was with him. A great actor, a great man, a lovely friend ... Yeah. I adored this man." Cuomo, governor of Jerry Stiller's home state, offered high praise to the comedy legend and offered condolences to Ben Stiller in a retweet."Jerry Stiller was as New York as they come. To my friend Ben who, like his father, is a New Yorker through and through I extend my deepest condolences. Jerry will be missed."
