It's Valentine's Day, the day to celebrate that special someone in your life and remind them just how important they are to you. The romantic holiday was originally created to honour Christian saints but has since developed into a worldwide celebration of love that takes place annually on February 14.
Wanting to share in the spirit of loving, the Manchester Evening News decided to pen our own love letter to the unforgettable city of Manchester with the help of AI chatbot ChatGPT. By simply asking it to write a love letter to the city, the bot wrote almost 200 words in just seconds. The tool, which can also be used as a search engine, pulled from its resource of knowledge and made references to the city's impactful music scene by mentioning the likes of Joy Division, The Stone Roses and Oasis as well as hailing the people of Manchester for their warmth, resilience and kindness.
