LAYTON — A water main break in Layton is causing major delays after southbound lanes were shut down on I-15 Tuesday evening.
About 4 p.m., a water line under or near the freeway burst, causing the road pavement to bubble up between Hill Field Road and 500 North, Utah Department of Transportation spokesman John Gleason said. The pavement is not stable and Layton crews were assessing the damage, he said.officials said at 5:45 p.m. the road was reopened."This is not something we see everyday," Gleason said.
