The 28th annual Victoria Pride Parade is returning to B.C.’s capital this weekend, with hundreds of floats entered.
CHEK’s Tess van Straaten and Gouda Gabor are pictured at the 2022 Victoria Pride Parade.is returning to B.C.’s capital this weekend with more than 100 floats participating and tens of thousands of people expected to watch the celebration.
Floats will head south on Douglas Street before taking a right onto Humboldt Street, left on Government Street, then a right on Bellville Street and lastly a left on Menzies Street. The last float is expected to finish the parade route around 12:30 p.m. at the corner of Menzies Street and Kingston Street.Sign up for the CHEK Now daily email newsletter to get breaking news and the day's top stories sent to your email.The Pride “Festival in the Park” will take place at MacDonald Park from noon to 8 p.m.
The festival will feature a main stage, a kid’s stage, more than 150 vendors, 20 food vendors, a kids play area, a games zone and bike parking by donation.You can tune in to the parade on CHEK, or CHEK+ to watch the livestream starting at 11 a.m. The feed will also be posted to this article, so you can check back here to watch.
