The Starship spacecraft sits atop the Super Heavy Rocket the afternoon before a scheduled launch Sunday, April 16, 2023, at a SpaceX launch facility in Boca Chica.The Super Heavy rocket and Starship spacecraft are expected to take their maiden flight on Monday at 8:20 a.m. SpaceX will provide a live video about 45 minutes before liftoff, though SpaceX founder Elon Musk said there's a good chance the launch gets postponed.
"It's the first launch of a very complicated gigantic rocket," he said Sunday night on a live talk via Twitter Spaces."So it might launch tomorrow, but we're going to be very careful. And if we see anything that gives us concern, we'll postpone the launch."
