SANTA ROSA -- Video posted on social media over the weekend shows the violent Santa Rosa collision that hospitalized a family of three and ended the CHP pursuit of a teen driving at speeds over 100 mph Saturday afternoon.The crash on northbound Highway 101 in Santa Rosa occurred as CHP officers were chasing down an 18-year-old driving a Ford Mustang with a fake license plate reading 'WILL RUN' who had previous run-ins with law enforcement, authorities said.
The video posted by Instagram user @2008sap shows 18-year-old Healdsburg resident Marcus Burton driving the vehicle at a high rate of speed on the far left shoulder of Highway 101 near the Mendocino Avenue exit when he appears to clip the median barrier before plowing into the back end of an SUV in the left lane.According to CHP, both vehicles suffered major damage in the collision and the passengers of the SUV, a child and two adults -- were injured.
