In addition to sitting on the couch to talk about the newBroadway show and share the story about how literally every label rejected her mega-selling third album before Maverick Records bit on the 30 million-plus seller, she joined Jimmy in the New York subway for the latest edition of his singers in disguise bit.
Wearing a giant cowboy hat, shades, blonde wig and a big, furry coat alongside Fallon -- in a terrible fake long beard and mustche, beanie cap and leather coat with a tiny drum around his neck -- Morissette performed an unplugged version of "Little Drummer Boy" with a band that included a guitarist and bucket drummer. At first, not many communters seem to notice or care about the band, but soon enough Morissette's voice started to prick up their ears and a crowd gathered.
Once Fallon took off his disguise a howl rose and the platform filled with people holding up their phones, clapping and singing along to "You Oughta Know," seemingly forgetting that they had somewhere to be. 2020 tour featuring Garbage and Liz Phair, and the first single from her upcoming album
