400-pound alligator, possibly looking for love, strolls through Texas neighborhood
The massive reptile was trapped at around 11.30 a.m. and taken for relocation, said Fort Bend County Precinct 1 Constable Chad Norvell.
“This morning around 7.40 a.m. dispatch received calls that an alligator was walking along Peek Road about 50 or 60 yards south of Buffalo Bayou,” Norvell said. “He was caught by licensed trappers from Texas Parks and Wildlife and is being taken to a sanctuary in El Campo.”Near Cinco Ranch in Katy, TX, a 12 foot alligator was taking a morning stroll near neighborhoods and a busy street.
The police tried to get him back in the bayou but after hours of waiting, they had him removed and sent to Gator Country in Beaumont, TX.
