Four people were in a boat when it flipped on the river Tuesday afternoon, Alaska State Troopers said.
A Wasilla woman died Tuesday afternoon after the boat she was in overturned in the Talkeetna River, Alaska State Troopers said.. A report came in just after 3 p.m. that live-saving measures were being performed on an “unresponsive subject,” they said.
A LifeMed helicopter brought Talkeetna emergency responders to the scene, “where life-saving measures were continued until exhausted,” troopers said.The other three people in the boat were brought to Talkeetna by Mahay’s Jet Boat Adventures, as well as local responders, troopers said. Troopers transported Latimer’s body from the area by helicopter.
