Otto Porter Jr.’s status for Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals on Friday remains up in the air.
Porter is listed as questionable for the Warriors’ potential series-clinching game against the Memphis Grizzlies at Chase Center with right foot soreness. Acting head coach Mike Brown said he wasn’t sure whether the discomfort was the result of one play in particular or the wear and tear of the postseason.
Porter, who missed the second half of Wednesday’s blowout loss due to the ailment, did some court work Friday morning during Golden State’s shootaround, according to Brown. That activity included agility exercises and some shooting. Limiting the Grizzlies’ lethal transition offense and outrebounding the athletically inclined team were two big keys for Golden State heading into the semifinals. Porter has been a crucial part to the team’s success in those areas during this series, which the Warriors lead 3-2.
