Curry scored 11 points in the final six minutes of the half.
The Warriors again made a second-quarter push, using a 26-8 run to get the Chase Center crowd rocking before halftime. They outscored Denver 32-25 in the quarter.Steph Curry looked plenty healthy in the second quarter, scoring 11 points in the last 5:23 of the half, including two 3-pointers.
The only thing that would have elated the crowd more was if Curry had made the 27-footer he took just before the halftime buzzer. In his Game 1 return from a foot injury, he missed his first five shots and slowly worked his way into the game. But in Game 2, he came out firing, making a 2-pointer less than a minute into his first stint on the court.
In 13 first-half minutes, Curry scored 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting . His plus-minus is +17 at halftime. In the first quarter, Jordan Poole made a side-step 3-pointer over Aaron Gordon on the right wing. Seconds later, he gave a small shake and drove right past Gordon from the same spot. In the second quarter, he got the ball at the same place again and put a more elaborate move on Gordon, resulting in a clean layup again.
Poole is shooting hot of late, making his case to join the Splash Brothers, but he also is a bit quicker at age 22 than Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, both in their 30s, offering a different challenge to opposing defenders.
