Josh Warrington wants third bout with Mauricio Lara after his spit following Leigh Wood KO win
of their WBA featherweight title fight, Lara spat at Warrington at the side of the ring, sparking a melee.Speaking exclusively on talkSPORT Drive, he said: “I was there obviously doing the punditry for DAZN and I got myself ringside to watch the fight up close and personal.“I wanted to see both fighters, get a feel for how they’re reacting to punches and in between rounds, I kept on catching Mauricio’s eye.
“He starts gobbing off, I get off my stool and start gobbing off back at him, and then he spits out at me.” “And then obviously the second fight what happened, it got stopped with a cut on Mauricio, and I think he’s been saying since that that it was an intentional headbutt, like I had been trying to end his career with a headbutt.“Then he’s got this other bit of mixed up information where, I don’t know where he’s got it from, I’ve been slagging off his dad. Apparently his dad is part of his training team but I didn’t know that. My dad is my main trainer and I slag him off constantly.
