Man City’s disciplinary case for alleged Premier League financial rule breaches could take years to complete MCFC
The Premier League’s disciplinary case against Manchester City could take up to four years to be completed.
In response, the club released a statement insisting they ‘welcome the review’ from an independent commission. Among the breaches, the investigation found City had not provided ‘accurate financial information that gives a true and fair view of the club’s financial position.’, one of Britain’s leading sports lawyers Nick De Marco KC believes the number of charges facing the reigning Premier League champions means the case is likely to be a drawn-out affair.
“I would not be surprised if these proceedings [involving City] took considerably longer given there are apparently 115 charges covering a period of 14 years.
